This is what I call a generic, good for many things, activity. It brings calm, focus, and positive feelings...really! One of the many things it is good for is balance and coordination. Part of the reason for that is when you have your tongue contact the roof of your mouth it activates your vestibular system, letting you know where you are in space. If one were to twirl around 3 times one way and 3 times the other and do this activity after, the room would stop spinning quickly. (Invite a grandchild to do this when you are outside together, rather than doing it yourself.😊
